Two long-running American institutions, MLB and The Simpsons, have teamed up for a new World Series hype video showcasing the best of the nation’s pastime.

The Simpsons has a long history of baseball lore, from Homer's time sharing the diamond with Ken Griffey Jr., Darryl Strawberry, Jose Canseco and other All-Stars in “Homer at the Bat” to Mark McGwire distracting the residents of Springfield by hitting some dingers.

The Albuquerque Isotopes, a Triple A Rockies affiliate, even took its team name from the fiction Springfield Isotopes in the show.

Hopefully, no one catches gigantism before this year’s Fall Classic.
