Master P claims he beat Michael Jordan in pickup basketball

Rap mogul and gold tank aficionado Master P turned some heads back at the height of his fame by making a run at an NBA career, and now the No Limit label boss is telling an amazing, if hard to believe, story about a run-in with Michael Jordan back in those days.

Rap mogul and gold tank aficionado Master P turned some heads back at the height of his fame by making a run at an NBA career, and now the No Limit label boss is telling an amazing, if hard to believe, story about a run-in with Michael Jordan back in those days.

In an interview with Thisis50.com, the rapper, born Percy Miller, tells of the time his son Lil Romeo was confronted by Jordan at a basketball camp for wearing his dad’s signature shoe instead of a pair of Air Jordans.

As P tells it, he flew out to the camp to let Jordan know his son would wear whatever shoes he preferred, and the two settled their differences in a pickup game that featured then-college stars like Gilbert Arenas and Ron Artest, and ended with Miller defeating Jordan and a team of NBA players.

The story begins at the 5:55 mark of the video below.
