NBA strikes blow against Starbucks, puts a snowflake on Christmas ball

The NBA is adding a snowflake to its 2015 Christmas day game ball. Could this be a direct shot at Starbucks, which is under fire for this year’s holiday cup design.

The NBA and Starbucks do have a bit of a history, as it was Starbucks owner Howard Schultz who sold the SuperSonics to an Oklahoma City-based group, paving the way for them to become the Thunder.

Could this snowflake be a sign that the NBA is ready to rectify its mistake and return the league to Seattle? Is the NBA calling out the coffee-giant for hating the holiday? Might LeBron James and Stephen Curry star in a Nativity scene at halftime of the Cavaliers-Warriors game?

We can say for sure that the NBA is not waging a war on Christmas.
