Bryce Harper began wowing scouts when he was still in high school, and now the baseball phenom has grabbed his first MVP award just one month after his 23rd birthday.

It seems the Nationals star has been so busy spending his formative years gaining wealth and fame crushing baseballs that he had to pass on learning important things, like how to pronounce “memes.”

• Someone lost $20,000 when Jay Cutler took a knee

This is embarrassing, and will lead to a meta-meme about his pronunciation of memes, which is precisely what Harper was trying to avoid. At least the outfielder has a shiny new MVP trophy to help ease his shame.
