Watch: Kevin Hart takes on Cam Newton’s bench press challenge

Cam Newton hosted another charity event in Charlotte this week, and one stop on the “Santa Cam‘s Surprise Sleigh” tour turned into a weight room workout with comedian Kevin Hart, after the Panthers quarterback questioned comedian‘s strength, according to the Charlotte Observer.

Hart and rapper-turned-actor Ice Cube met Newton at Harding University High, where they handed out Under Armour gear and then got Hart to step up to see how many bench press reps he could do at 225 pounds. The diminutive star did not disappoint.

Thanks to the support of a chanting crowd, Hart gets the weight up three times. Newton does not take a turn on the weight rack, but it is safe to assume the 6'5", 245-pound MVP candidate can probably pump quite a bit of iron.

The Observer reportsother stops on Newton‘s charity spree included handing out gift cards to teachers, and making a surprise stop at a meeting of a Panthers fan club.
