The Miss Universe pageant was so sad and it was all Steve Harvey’s fault

Host Steve Harvey said Miss Colombia won. He was wrong.

Did you spend your Sunday night watching football? Bad call. You should have been watching the Miss Universe pageant. That’s where the real drama was. 

It all started when host Steve Harvey proudly proclaimed that Miss Colombia had won. She looked thrilled, like she had fulfilled a lifelong dream. But Harvey was wrong! The winner was actually Miss Philippines.

This led to the saddest moment in beauty pageant history, when the crown had to be taken off Miss Colombia’s head.

Heartbreaking. But maybe the card Harvey was reading off of was really confusing. Right? Hopefully.

Harvey then tried to apologize on Twitter but ended up misspelling both contestants’ home countries. 

That was more fun than any football game this season.
