Alabama buses left without Lane Kiffin after national championship win

The Alabama offense has flourished since Lane Kiffin came on board as coordinator ahead of the 2014 season, and it was capped off with the ultimate prize Monday night when the team won the College Football Playoff championship game.

What was Kiffin’s reward for drawing up all those Amari Cooper fly routes and Derrick Henry counters over the last 18 months? Getting left behind by the team bus after entering the stadium with quite a bit of swagger.

Head coach Nick Saban likes to run on a schedule, and that means the buses wait for no one, not even the offensive coordinator.

Better than getting left behind at an airport though.

UPDATE: Well, we now know how Kiffin got back to Alabama. He bummed a ride from Saban. Those Alabama buses seriously will not wait for anyone.

He did, however, make the team’s flight back home.
