Ronda Rousey is in New York this week as she prepares to host Saturday Night Live for the first time, and on Thursday fans got their first peek at the former UFC bantamweight champ’s comedic skills when the variety show released its weekly promos.

In the new spots, Rousey and cast member Beck Bennett spend some time together, with the comedian trying to soften the MMA star’s tough exterior, only to find an even tougher interior.

• Here is what we think Ronda Rousey will do when she hosts SNL

Bennett’s wrestling alter ego, Beck “The Wreck,” also shows up and gets to live out his dream when his signature Noggin Lock move gets turned into a hip toss from Rousey.

Rousey will get a chance to show off her sense of humor in a longer format soon, as she is reportedly set to star in Tina Fey’s upcoming film Do Nothing B------.
