Five-star recruit uses cakes as misdirection at signing

Mecole Hardman Jr. is the 16th-ranked recruit in the nation and the second-ranked athlete in the class of 2016, and on Wednesday he announced his commitment to Georgia with a lot of flair and a bit of misdirection thanks to some cakes.
Before the Elberton, Ga., native arrived at his announcement conference, people spotted four cakes on a table with pennants of Tennessee, Michigan, Florida and Clemson, leading many to believe UGA was out of the running.

But when it came time to decide, Hardman wasn’t relying on cakes at all.

Hopefully all those nice cakes do not go to waste now.
