Over the past two weeks, coverage of Super Bowl 50 has been oversaturated by stories on the class of Peyton Manning and the expressiveness of Cam Newton. What happens when there’s a hot button topic that has folks up in arms? It gets the Saturday Night Live treatment.

Kenan Thompson and Taran Killam sang “Ebony and Ivory” as Cam Newton and Peyton Manning on Saturday night’s episode, and they mixed in jokes about the media’s treatment of the two quarterbacks, the poor play of Manning and even player safety.

This was really, really well done, and it wasn’t even the best sketch of the night. SNL put on one of their best performances in recent memory, and it much of the credit goes to Larry David, who did one hell of a job.

The Super Bowl kicks off in a matter of hours. Then, all this buildup will finally leave us.
