Report: Rams, Titans held back trade announcement for Kobe's final game

Kobe Bryant’s final game captured so much attention that it delayed the announcement of a blockbuster NFL trade.
The Rams moved to Los Angeles this offseason and not wanting to infringe on the final game of the city’s biggest sports star, they decided to hold back the announcement of the team’s acquisition of the first pick of the 2016 NFL Draft, according to Adam Schefter.
Rams and Titans agreed to trade at 9:30 pm ET Wednesday and withheld announcement so nothing would detract from Kobe Bryant's last NBA game.

Rams official on withholding trade until today: "Kobe deserved his night. There was no reason for this trade to be announced on his night.”

• Redskins subtweeted the Rams staggering trade
This would explain the trade being announced at 6 a.m. in Los Angeles.
The Rams are certainly hoping whoever they select with the pick will become as big a star as the Black Mamba was.
