Sixers fans joined together and took out a billboard to pay tribute to former general manager Sam Hinkie, who resigned earlier this month.

“HINKIE FOREVER,” the billboard read, in giant letters, above information about a draft lottery party. A majestic Obamafication of Hinkie’s face sits to the left of the words.

Hinkie used a fake Abe Lincoln quote in his resignation letter

The movement was spearheaded by the hosts of the “Rights to Ricky Sanchez” podcast, Spike Eskin and Michael Levin, along with the SB Nation blog “Liberty Ballers.”

A fitting tribute. Thank you, heroes.
