The Atlanta Braves fired Fredi Gonzalez from their manager position on Tuesday.

As it turns out, Gonzalez probably knew about the firing Monday night.

Though the Braves told Gonzalez about the decision on Tuesday morning, Gonzalez likely figured things out Monday night. That’s when—reports the Atlanta Journal-Constitution—Gonzalez received an email about a plane ticket for a flight to Atlanta on Tuesday.

That’s pretty uncomfortable, considering the Braves are in Pittsburgh for a series through Thursday.

At least Atlanta isn’t known for being terribly hot this time of the year or anything like that. The Braves entered Tuesday with a 9–28 record.
