Jake Arrieta played college baseball for TCU, while Tommy LaStella played for Coastal Carolina, so when the teams met in this year’s College World Series tournament, the Cubs teammates made a wager on the outcome.

The bet went beyond just money though, with the loser promising to get a tattoo of the winning school’s logo inked onto their body.

Unfortunately for the reigning Cy Young award winner, the Horned Frogs took losses on two consecutive days, sending the Chanticleers to the finals and Arrieta to the tattoo parlor, the third baseman told ESPN.

"So happy for those kids," La Stella said Sunday morning. "When we get back to Chicago we'll get him [Arrieta] tatted up for life."

La Stella did not come out of the series unscathed though, as a Coastal Carolina loss to TCU last week means he will have to dress up in a mascot's uniform from Arrieta’s alma mater.
