Is this really a good idea?

Pokemon Go is an app game that lets people catch Pokemon using their phones. It is also an app that has caused throngs of American citizens to stare at their phones while congregating in public places, standing on the sidewalk, crossing busy city streets and driving their vehicles. People are using it in inappropriate places. There are Pokemon literally everywhere.

Rio de Janeiro mayor Eduardo Paes took an important stand on Facebook on Wednesday. Amid the myriad issues affecting Rio in the lead-up to the Summer Olympics, he decided that Brazil needs Pokemon. He commissioned some expert photoshoppers, too.

This is real life.

Crowds of people just standing around on their phones, flicking their wrists, while the unindoctrinated are trying to get places during a busy worldwide event. This sounds like a great idea.
