Sean Doolittle and his girlfriend, Eireann Dolan, were out walking their dog when a young fan spotted the canine’s A’s bandana and asked the reliever if he would join him in a pantomimed game of baseball, without even knowing he was dealing with a real live Oakland pitcher.
The little lefty slugger managed to go long on the pro reliever and it was all captured on video, as were a few photos the enthusiastic future star unknowingly snapped on Dolan’s phone.
Dolan and Doolittle continue to be the best couple in baseball, hosting Thanksgiving dinner for refugees in Chicago, getting dressed up for the Star Wars premiere and driving around in a car with a special burrito compartment.
