The biggest story of the offseason may have come early on Wednesday when Tom Brady shocked the sports world with news of his retirement. The seven-time Super Bowl champion decided to switch things up from last year’s retirement announcement and posted a video that was less than a minute long on Twitter. 

“Good morning guys, I’ll get to the point right away: I’m retiring. For good,” Brady said. “I know the process was a pretty big deal last time, so when I woke up this morning I’d figured I’d just press record and let you guys know first.”

Brady’s first retirement lasted less than two months last year, but this time he appears to finally be ready to move on from football.
