Chiefs’ JuJu Smith-Schuster Trolls Eagles With Valentine’s Day Message
Chiefs star JuJu Smith-Schuster is still soaking in the team's Super Bowl win, but that didn't stop him from taking a savage shot at Eagles cornerback James Bradberry on Twitter. The Kansas City wide receiver posted a brutal Valentine’s Day message with a photo of Philadelphia’s cornerback, captioned, “I’ll hold you when it matters most.”
Bradberry, of course, was responsible for Philadelphia's defensive holding penalty in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl. He accepted responsibility for the flag, admitting it was the correct decision, despite the controversial reaction to the call from the officials.
While the Eagles cornerback is likely just trying to erase the moment from his memory, Smith-Schuster served him a brutal reminder of the incident on Twitter, and in Valentine's Day theme, no less.
The defensive holding penalty called against Bradberry, who was covering Smith-Schuster on the play, set the Chiefs up for a game-winning field goal. Harrison Butker converted the kick, putting the icing on the cake of the 38–35 Super Bowl showdown.
Smith-Schuster latched on with Kansas City this offseason and played a significant role in their Super Bowl LVII victory against the Eagles. The 26-year-old logged seven catches for 53 yards and drew the crucial defensive holding call against Bradberry to set up the win.
The Chiefs not only got the last laugh over Philadelphia on the field, but Smith-Schuster's most jaw-dropping moment came well after the final whistle.
