UFC World Reacts After Alexa Grasso Stuns Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285

There’s a new UFC women’s flyweight champion of the world.

Valentina Shevchenko’s reign as the UFC women’s flyweight titleholder has come to an end after the Kyrgyzstan native was stunned by challenger Alexa Grasso at UFC 285 on Saturday night. 

Grasso entered the fray as a massive underdog but pulled off a stunning submission with a minute left in the fourth round to secure the upset victory over the reigning champion.

The co-main event was electric, as Grasso put on the performance of a lifetime in order to shock the world and snatch the belt from Shevchenko’s grasp. 

The stunning result drew some wild reactions from fellow MMA stars who congratulated Grasso on becoming the world champion in her weight class. Francis Ngannou, Kamaru Usman, Brian Ortega, Tracy Cortez were among the MMA standouts to weigh in on the upset.
