Geno Smith Makes Promise to Seahawks Fans After Signing Big Contract

In this story:
Geno Smith agreed to a three-year, $105 million deal with the Seahawks on Monday after one season as their starting quarterback.
Smith tweeted a few times on Tuesday expressing gratitude for the multi-year contract he signed the day prior, with most responses featuring only the praying hands emoji.
During the afternoon however, Smith tweeted a simple but hopeful message to fans on Tuesday while quote tweeting a video of his 2022 season highlights from the NFL.
“I’ll be much better!” Smith wrote. “Can’t wait. #GoHawks”

The Seahawks finished last season second in the NFC West standings with a 9–8 record. Seattle made the postseason, but lost in the wild-card round to division rival, the 49ers. It was Smith’s first appearance in a playoff game.
It sounds like Smith has plans to return to the postseason in 2023, and possibly win his first playoff game.
Smith finished the 2022 season with various career-best accomplishments. For starters, he won the NFL’s Comeback Player of the Year. He finished with career highs of 4,282 passing yards and 30 touchdowns, and led the league with a 69.8% completion percentage.
