Patrick Mahomes Previews NFL Free Agency With Sublime Tweet

Fans across the NFL are patiently waiting for free agency to start, and the league’s biggest stars are not excluded from the chaos of it all. Chiefs quarterback and reigning Super Bowl and regular-season MVP Patrick Mahomes tweeted ahead of the beginning of free agency, and he appears to be as excited as anyone to see how it all shakes out this week.

“NFL is going to be wild this week!” Mahomes wrote on Twitter.

The 27-year-old added three popcorn emojis to the tweet and probably would love to retain his entire championship-winning roster—but that is easier said than done. Headlining Kansas City’s free agency class are wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster and four-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Orlando Brown Jr.

The Chiefs likely will lose some players, but the team’s front office has carried its weight in recent years when it comes to surrounding Mahomes with talent. This upcoming offseason likely will be no different. Free agency is set to officially start with the onset of the new league year on Wednesday at 4 p.m. ET.
