Tyreek Hill Fires Back at Critics After Dominant Track Race Win

After torching the competition at a USA Track and Field event on Saturday, Tyreek Hill took to Twitter to address those criticizing his impressive showing in the 60-meter dash.

The Dolphins star receiver logged a blazing time of 6.70 seconds to win the event in the age 25-29 bracket at the USATF Masters Indoor Championships in Louisville. Despite showing off his legendary speed on his way to a victory, the 29-year-old All-Pro received some flak for his performance due to the fact that USATF events feature athletes ages 25 and older, not Olympic-level competition.

Needless to say, Hill, a former track and field standout who last competed in a race in 2014, did not take too kindly to the criticism.

“All the track athletes mad like didn’t I use to beat you in high school bud,” Hill tweeted along with a smirking emoji.

As Hill alluded to in his tweet, the veteran wideout’s loaded athletic resume includes achievements outside of his exploits on the gridiron.

A native of Douglas, Ga., Hill won numerous state titles at Coffee High School in his hometown. He went on to become an All-American in indoor track and field while playing football at Oklahoma State, though he eventually stepped away from the sport to focus on football after he was dismissed from the school in Dec. 2014 due to a domestic assault arrest.
