The Cowboys further buffed up their defense Tuesday by acquiring veteran cornerback Stephon Gilmore in a reported trade with the Colts. 

The move, which will pair Gilmore, a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro selection, with emerging star cornerback Trevon Diggs in Dallas’s secondary. 

After boasting one of the league’s best defenses over the past few seasons, the Cowboys have managed to add another top talent to the mix, and it’s safe to say that players in Dallas were fired up over the trade.

A handful of Cowboys stars took to Twitter to celebrate the acquisition and welcome Gilmore to Dallas. Among those were Diggs, star linebacker Micah Parsons, wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, and former Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant.
