Princeton Player Imitates Iconic Kevin Garnett Interview After Beating Missouri

Princeton pulled off another miraculous upset on Saturday, stunning Missouri in order to reach the Sweet 16 of the 2023 NCAA tournament. The No. 15 seed completed the comfortable upset victory, and after the game, sharpshooting sophomore Blake Peters channeled his inner-Kevin Garnett during his postgame interview.

When asked about his performance and the Princeton win, Peters emulated Garnett's iconic 2008 interview before going off to celebrate with his teammates.

“I can't [describe what it's like]. I have no words for you. We have such an unbelievable section here, I have the best teammates in the world. I love each and every one of them. When we go out and believe in each other, anything is possible,” said Peters of Princeton's Sweet 16 berth. “Anything is possible!”

After stunning Arizona in the round of 64, the Tigers stayed hot with a win over their Tiger counterparts, 78–63.

Peters had a huge night himself, scoring 17 points off the bench including five three-pointers. Senior Ryan Langborg led the charge for the Ivy League program with 22 points, while Caden Pierce commanded the interior with 16 rebounds.

Whether he was aware of it or not, Peters perfectly replicated Garnett's celebratory postgame interview after winning the NBA Finals with the Celtics in 2008.

Princeton will now prepare for their Sweet 16 matchup where they'll face the winner of Sunday’s game between Creighton and Baylor.

As Peters made clear with his comments, the Tigers will enter the fray with plenty of confidence and self-belief, having already pulled off two stunning victories in their first two games of the Big Dance.
