Jim Nantz Had a Classy Message in His Last Sign-Off From the Men’s Final Four

Jim Nantz’s 32-year run of calling the men’s NCAA Final Four games came to an end Monday night with UConn beating San Diego State, 76–59, and winning their fifth national title in program history.
Nantz is moving on from college basketball, a sport his voice has become synonymous with as he’s called so many big moments over all of these years.
He did his best in the closing minutes of the game to keep the attention on UConn and what this night meant for them. But as the broadcast crew signed off, Nantz seemed to get a little emotional while delivering a classy message:
"Thank you for being my friend"
