Cowboys Star Almost Walks Off Set After Seeing Who Eagles Drafted

In this story:
The rivalry between the Eagles and Cowboys is one of the best in the NFL. And if you were curious whether the players on each side think about the other team during the offseason, think no further.
Dallas linebacker Micah Parsons partnered with Bleacher Report for live coverage of the 2023 NFL draft on Thursday night, which meant that viewers were gifted with watching his in-the-moment reaction to the rival Eagles’ first-round pick. When Philadelphia took Georgia defensive lineman Jalen Carter at No. 9, let’s just say Parsons wasn’t too thrilled.
“I’m just sick. I’m just sick to my stomach right now,” Parsons said. “I can’t believe that many teams passed up on him.”
That response is a compliment to Carter, who many viewed as the best player in this year’s class. The Eagles led the league in sacks last season, and adding a talented player such as Carter is a development that Parsons clearly doesn’t love for his Cowboys.
“I’m just so shocked eight teams let Jalen Carter fall to (pick No.) 9,” Parsons said. “The value of that pick is crazy. … That’s an A-plus pick. I’m sick, but I can’t be mad at it.”
