Baker Mayfield, Kyle Trask Threw Some Awful Passes at Bucs Practice and NFL Fans Had Jokes

Video of journeyman QB Baker Mayfield and third-year backup Kyle Trask going through light passing drills during the team’s OTAs went viral Tuesday after a few errant throws by both quarterbacks. The first clip of Mayfield is particularly funny, as he is seen airmailing a short pass to tight end Dominique Dafney.

Naturally, the internet had fun with these clips.
Some Bucs fans attempted to spin the clips positively, suggesting the team’s quarterback woes could help land them USC star QB and Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Perhaps it’s best not to overreact to one OTA, but if those clips were any indication, it could be a rough year in Tampa.
