Netflix Releases Trailer for ‘Quarterback’ Documentary, Starring Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, Marcus Mariota

Netflix released the first trailer of its newest documentary, Quarterback, on Wednesday with a release date of July 12. The documentary features a behind-the-scenes look at the 2022 NFL season for Patrick MahomesKirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota.

In the trailer, all three quarterbacks appear to be mic’d up during their games and were also followed in their personal, day-to-day lives. The video features Cousins reading to his son while Mahomes is spending some quality time with his daughter and wife as well.

Despite all playing the same position, each had a very different 2022.

Patrick Mahomes had arguably the best year of his career where he was named regular season MVP and Super Bowl MVP, winning his second championship in his already historic career at 27 years old. Cousins put together another quality year, appearing in his fourth Pro Bowl and leading his team to a 13–4 record but ultimately losing to the Giants in the wild-card round of the playoffs.

Finally, there’s Mariota. The former No. 2 pick in the 2015 NFL draft has journeyed through the league and played his first year for the Falcons in ’22. Ultimately, the team finished 7–10 and Mariota threw for 2,219 yards and 15 touchdowns to nine interceptions.
