MLB Fans Unloaded on Umps After Questionable Call Led to Buck Showalter’s Ejection

The Mets have had a disastrous 2023 season so far and those bad times continued Wednesday night when they lost at home to the Brewers, 5–2.
Mets manager Buck Showalter wasn’t around to see the end of the game because he was shown the door by the umpires after arguing a questionable call in the top of the eighth inning.
In case you missed it, Brewers center fielder Joey Wiemer was hit by a pitch, but it also looked like he was swinging the bat at the time and that it should have been called a strike instead.
Here’s how it all went down:
Buck Showalter has been ejected for the second time in four games, after disputing a hit-by-pitch call.

The Brewers went on to score two runs after the call and shut the Mets down in the eighth and ninth innings to win the game.
MLB fans were not happy with the umps over that call:
He swung. Can’t even get the umps to help us out of this slump. https://t.co/I5NlD8bgjI

If Pete Alonso did this, it would have been a swing. Stupid umpires. https://t.co/iOZSnWZSlN
