Brandon Miller’s Summer League Struggles Draw Mixed Reactions From NBA Twitter

Hornets rookie and 2023 No. 2 pick Brandon Miller has gotten off to a slow start during the NBA Summer League. Two games into his Summer League career, and Miller has left plenty to desire with his play on the court.

In particular, fouls have plagued Miller early on. The former Alabama standout has racked up 15 personal fouls in just two games, something only allowable due to the Summer League’s rules. In those two games, he has 24 points, nine rebounds, 10 assists and 10 turnovers. He totaled just six points on four shots during Wednesday’s loss against the Warriors.

It’s been far from an encouraging showing from Miller, and fans on Twitter have been quick to react.

While some fans are hastily characterizing him as a bust or saying Charlotte would have been better off drafting Scoot Henderson, others refuse to buy in to a couple of paltry performances during the offseason, voicing their expectation that he’ll be just fine when the regular season comes around.
