Reds rookie Elly De La Cruz is becoming a daily highlight reel, which is great news for Major League Baseball because the league can use more young star players who make the game fun to watch. 

You know what MLB doesn’t need? Crusty managers complaining about players having some fun while playing a game. 

That happened after Wednesday night’s Reds-Nationals game when Washington manager Davey Martinez complained about De La Cruz’s home run celebration in the fifth inning. That homer came after Martinez asked the umpires in the second inning to take a look at De La Cruz’s bat, so one would understand how things got personal after the rookie’s 450-foot blast.
