Blue Jays star slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr. put on a show at the Home Run Derby in Seattle on Monday, hitting a total of 72 homers and taking the crown by edging Randy Arozarena in the finals. 

You know who also put on a show? Texas Rangers third-base coach, Tony Beasley. But it wasn’t the type of show that a hitter wants to see in the Derby. 

Texas’ Adolis García, who has 23 homers so far this year, didn’t make it out of the first round after hitting just 17 dingers. One of the biggest reasons why he hit so few out?

That’s not the type of stuff you want to see from your pitcher in a Home Run Derby.
