NFL Fans Rightfully Loved the Browns’ New Alternate White Helmets

The Cleveland Browns unveiled new alternate white helmets on Tuesday, and NFL fans everywhere loved the new look.

The new white-helmet is an attempt to pay homage to the uniforms the team wore in its first six years of existence from 1946–51. The clean new look features an all-white helmet with a brown and orange stripe down the middle. The team is expected to wear the helmets in three games this season as part of an “all-white series” of games: Week 2 against the Steelers on Monday Night Football, Week 6 against the 49ers and Week 17 in a Thursday night game against the Jets.

Here’s a full look at the Browns’ new lids, as modeled by Cleveland tight end David Njoku.

The internet loved the new look. Even LeBron James chimed in to show love for the all-white uniforms.

The Browns' official Twitter account also traded barbs with their in-state rival when the Bengals seemingly insinuated that Cleveland was copying them on the white helmet train.
