Rudy Gobert Had a Hilarious, Honest Reaction to First Career Three-Pointer
If given a million tries, no one could guess what Rudy Gobert said after hitting his first-ever three-pointer at the professional level. While playing for the French national team on Wednesday against Montenegro, Gobert hit the career milestone and after the game he had quite the quote.
The team’s official Twitter account posted the quote in French and when you hit translate, it’s nothing short of hilarious.
“Tonight, I feel like I lost my virginity,” he said after the 80–69 win.
Gobert, 31, is an accomplished NBA and international player but had never once hit from behind the arc until that fateful moment.
His teammate and fellow NBA player Nicolas Batum posted the moment on Twitter and found the whole sequence pretty comical to say the least.
“Those scouting (sic) report about to be different,” Batum wrote with a laughing emoji.
Maybe Gobert will decide to extend his range once he and the Timberwolves start their 2023–24 season.
