In this story:

Titans running back Derrick Henry has made a name for himself as one of the NFL’s strongest players, frequently proving difficult for defenders to bring to the ground.

In a bizarre moment at training camp, head coach Mike Vrabel was asked by reporters how many 5-year-olds he thinks it would take to tackle Tennessee’s star running back.

Seemingly giving it a good bit of thought, Vrabel took a moment before diving into some in-depth analysis. He even clarified the confines of the hypothetical, determining that in this scenario, Henry would have 10 yards of space.

“A s--- ton,” Vrabel ultimately concluded.

“I don’t even know if they could. How many kids would die in the process?” joked Vrabel. “Let’s say he’s got a 10-yard wide space. It’d probably take 35.”

Vrabel joked about testing out the theory but ultimately deemed that 35 5-year-olds would likely be sufficient to bring down the three-time Pro Bowl running back. 35 5-year-olds would make up more than three full defenses worth of children.

Henry, 29, stands in at a towering 6'3" and weighs 247 lbs. He’s a nightmare matchup for most defensive players in the NFL, let alone a group of kindergarteners. He broke a career-high 35 tackles in 2022 while rushing for 1,538 yards and 13 touchdowns.
