Sports World Was Left Dumbfounded by Lionel Messi’s Goal in Leagues Cup Final

Lionel Messi once again set social media ablaze after producing another magical moment on the pitch in the first half of the club's Leagues Cup final win on Saturday night.
The 36-year-old superstar scored his 10th goal for Inter Miami CF in incredible fashion, staking his MLS club to an early first-half 1-0 lead over Nashville SC.
After collecting the ball just outside the top of the box, Messi evaded a quartet of Nashville SC defenders before burying a left-footed blast into the top right corner of the net, beating a helpless Elliot Panicco.
Inter Miami became the first MLS team to win the Leagues Cup since its debut in 2019 winning in penalty kicks. The streaking club rode the talents of a player who is showing no signs of slowing down despite being in the twilight of his renowned career.
The Argentinian talent’s 23rd-minute highlight-reel strike had social media buzzing.
If you think Messi dicing up MLS defenses is an indictment of the league, you didn’t pay attention to his career. He laid waste to La Liga for years. Same in Ligue 1 and the Champions League. He was still cooking dudes in the World Cup. Defending Messi is life’s great equalizer.
