Skip Bayless Could Barely Talk on New-Look ‘Undisputed’ and Fans Loved It

Skip Bayless’ morning debate show Undisputed made its return to the airwaves Monday morning after a two month hiatus, and the result was chaos.

The show went on pause for the summer after long-time Bayless co-host Shannon Sharpe left the network, later signing on as a co-host for ESPN’s First Take with Stephen A. Smith. Bayless and FS1 spent the summer finding Bayless a new sparring partner, bringing in Keyshawn Johnson, Michael Irvin and Richard Sherman to debate Bayless starting this week. But in Monday’s debut episode, Bayless couldn’t seem to get a word in edgewise thanks to his co-hosts’ long-winded takes.

A segment on the Cowboys’ acquisition of QB Trey Lance was particularly funny:

Watching Sherman, Irvin and Johnson engage in a heated debate while Bayless just waits his turn is a hilarious moment, particularly given one of the reported reasons for Sharpe’s departure from the show was a decaying relationship between him and Bayless.

At one point, Irvin even acknowledges he’s talking too much, saying “I’m sorry, I haven’t been on TV in awhile, I don’t mean to take over nothing, but I hadn’t worked in a long time.”

It didn’t take Bayless long to address it:

Fans had plenty of fun with the idea of Bayless being silenced on his own show.
