MLB’s top prospect Jackson Holliday earned a huge call-up this week when the Orioles promoted him to Triple-A this week at just 19 years old, but that didn’t come without one obstacle.

Since Holliday is still just a teenager, he had quite the issue booking a hotel room in Norfolk, Va., on Monday night, per The Virginian-Pilot’s David Hall. All the prospect was trying to do was get a room to prepare for his call-up in Norfolk, where the Orioles’ Triple-A Tide play.

Holliday eventually booked a room after talking “his way into” it at the unknown hotel. It will be quite the story to tell.

Social media couldn’t help but post funny reactions to this note on Tuesday. Here are some of the best reactions.

The 19-year-old will make his Triple-A debut on Tuesday night for the Tides. He’s posted a .338 career batting average in the minor leagues across 127 games after being the No. 1 pick in the 2022 MLB draft, with 11 home runs and 27 stolen bases.
