Deion Sanders Uses Spot-On Santa Claus Analogy When Asked If He’s Enjoying Colorado’s Success

Deion Sanders and Colorado continue to soar after improving to 2-0 this past Saturday, and along with the wins have come some top-tier quotes from the Buffaloes coach.

When talking to reporters Wednesday, Sanders was asked whether takes any time to soak in the moment or enjoy this time in his life. Interestingly, Sanders answered by comparing himself to Santa Claus.

“No, not really,” Sanders said. “I don’t have time to enjoy the moment. Santa don’t have time, you know? He gotta deliver the gifts. He ain’t got time to enjoy his cookies. That’s all he gets.”

Sanders continued to delve into the many tasks he has on his plate ahead of No. 18 Colorado’s matchup with unranked Colorado State on Saturday.

“I gotta keep this machine going and make sure we stay on the right path and we’re focused on the right things, make sure we’re practicing adequately, making sure we’re giving it our all, making sure we’re making the right adjustments and playing the proper personnel,” Sanders continued. “So, it’s a lot.”

The Buffaloes (2-0) are set to host the Rams (0-1) on Saturday with kickoff scheduled for 10 p.m. ET on ESPN.
