GolfThreads: Puma Golf A/W'18 Collection with FUSIONYARN Fabric

In the coming weeks, look for Rickie Fowler and Lexi Thompson to debut pieces from Puma Golf’s Autumn/Winter 2018 Collection.

This new collection allows fashion-conscious golfers to look their best on the course and beyond with fresh colors, stylish designs and cutting-edge technologies.

At the heart of the collection is Puma’s new FUSIONYARN fabric. The polyester/cotton blend fuses the best of two worlds—the high performance of a technical fabric with the soft feel of a natural material. When combined in one premium fabric, FUSIONYARN is designed to provide top-shelf comfort, performance and style. It wicks moisture, dries quickly and is buttery soft.

Three of the showcase polos in Puma’s latest collection for men feature this innovative fabric. The Local Pro polo offers a modern take on a classic tri-striped design by using heathered textures, and angular and crosshatch patterns to create the gradient stripes. The Crossings polo uses these same design elements in a sporty color-blocked package while the multicolored crosshatch design on the Sundays polo creates the appearance of a striped design.

On the women’s side, three polos benefit from FUSIONYARN technology. The heathered stripes on the Road Map polo put a contemporary spin on preppy stripes. A sleeveless version of this same design is sure to appeal to the more athletic player. Completing the women’s FUSIONYARN range is the Sundays polo. Like the men’s model, this shirt features stripes made from a multicolored crosshatch pattern.

“With each new collection from Puma Golf, we work hard to surpass our previous best-in-class standards of comfort, style, and performance, and our A/W’18 collection certainly achieves that goal. FUSIONYARN is the most comfortable and versatile fabric we’ve introduced,” said Kristin Hinze, Global Head of Golf Apparel, PUMA Golf.

In addition to the FUSIONYARN story, Puma is expanding its EVOKNIT Collection. First introduced with its A/W’17 Collection, EVOKNIT is a knitted design that uses body-mapped ventilation and seamless engineering. This knitted fabric is perfect for warm conditions as the open weave allows for ventilation and stretchy fibers maximize range of motion.

For A/W’18, Puma brings the EVOKNIT concept to two updated polos. The Dassler polo uses heathered and hatched textures to create a sleek, tonal blocked design. Joining the Dassler in the EVOKNIT range is the EVOKNIT Camo Polo, which plays into the camo trend with a subtle, tone-on-tone pattern. The A/W’18 Collection also sees a new EVOKNIT Quarter-Zip pullover that is built with ribbed shoulders and sleeves for stretch and playability. The first EVOKNIT bottoms make an appearance in the line in the form of a short with a hip urban camo pattern.

The A/W’18 Collection will continue to feature the brand’s most popular bottoms. The solid Essential Pounce Shorts receive an infusion of color with 10 eye-catching hues, including four new colorways to complement Puma’s range of polos and layering pieces. The collection will also continue to offer the modern 6-pocket pants, including an all-new corduroy version. These corduroys aren’t the heavy, wide-whale trousers that you wore in your youth. Instead, the Cotton/Poly/Elastane blend is built for performance and comfort. Plus, they make an inviting option for those brisk Fall mornings on the course or around town.

For ladies, Puma’s new line will provide additional colors and styles with the brand’s revolutionary PWRSHAPE technology. PWRSHAPE features a four-way stretch fabric, bonded waistband, and flatlock seam construction to provide a smooth, slimming effect and a high level of support.

Puma’s A/W’18 Collection is arriving at retail stores and pro shops now.
