Should we start referring to Sergio Garcia as Mr. October? The New York Yankees have captured 27 World Series Championships and it looked like Garcia was trying to channel some of that Yankee magic in the final round of the Sanderson Farms Championship with the pinstripes. At the end of the day, he was holding a fake rooster, so maybe he is on to something.
Evan Harmeling
If you think Tour players are always showing up and showing out in the latest fits, guess again. Korn Ferry Tour player Evan Harmeling teed it up in an outfit that can best be described as ‘vintage thrift store chic’ during the third round of the Savannah Golf Championship. That mustard yellow digital print Nike polo can’t be from a collection within the last decade. But, wait. There’s more. After firing a 67 on Saturday to grab the lead, Harmeling rolled out in the exact same kit on Sunday ... and won! Only in 2020. We can only hope he found a washing machine on Saturday night.
Aaron Rai (Adidas Golf)
Best Winning Outfit goes to Scottish Open winner Aaron Rai. As we’ve mentioned, green is the color of fall 2020 and these forest green trousers hit all the right notes.
Brandon Stone (Peter Millar)
Another fall favorite is this kit from Brandon Stone. The burgundy color is a nice break from the typical fall colors we see on the course, but it still possesses those dark, rich tones we want to wear this time of the year.
Erik van Rooyen (Greyson Clothiers)
Of course, another approach to fall colors is to dial up some vibrant hues. EVR stood out for all the right reasons in these cherry red joggers and blue/green sweater.
Peter Malnati (FootJoy)
It takes a certain swagger to pull off the bucket hat. One that says, “I’ll just casually go out and shoot a final round 63.” A swagger I most certainly don’t possess, but Peter Malnati does. My advice? Ditch the hat, but buy the shirt.
Robert Rock (TrendyGolf)
Is there a smarter dresser than Robert Rock? Rain or shine, his style and sophistication are straight out of the Golden Era of the game. Driving cap, luxurious sweater, and well-tailored trousers. This guy nails all the details.
Haotong Li (Descente)
Your layering plan needs to take into account all components of your fit. In the top image, the multitude of colors and angles create a busy look for Haotong Li. On the flip side, layering that same vest over a solid black sweater leads to a clean and sporty look.
MJ Daffue (Under Armour)
We’ve talked a lot about how to properly execute monochromatic looks over the last few months. While navy blue and black are two colors that work well from head to toe, royal blue does not. The white belt takes this from bad to worse by cutting the outfit in half.
