Brian Harman, Kevin Kisner Cried Together During an Emotional FaceTime After British Open

Brian Harman was elated about his British Open victory at Royal Liverpool, but he didn’t exactly display his rush of emotions on the 18th green. Harman hugged his caddie, smiled ear-to-ear, but he didn’t appear to shed a tear—at least when the cameras were rolling.
Later on Sunday evening, however, Harman let it all out, and he did it while on FaceTime with his good friend and fellow PGA Tour player, Kevin Kisner.
Kisner and Harman not only share the same alma mater, the University of Georgia, but they spend ample time off the golf course together. Harman and Kisner share a hobby that was a topic of much discussion at The Open: bow-hunting wild turkeys.
So after Harman clinched his first major championship victory by an improbable six shots, Kisner shared a special moment with him over FaceTime, and he recounted the whole thing on SiriusXM PGA Tour Radio.
“So I FaceTimed him...about 1:30 in the morning over there last night and he’d just gotten back to his rental house with the Jug,” Kisner explained. “It was just him and I and the Jug, and we all cheered and I bawled with him, he was crying.”

It turned out that Kisner—who is currently taking a break from the PGA Tour—was just as emotional as his close friend when celebrating the momentous win.
“He was excited, he’s like ‘I gotta get up in two hours for a flight.’ I said ‘Who cares, man!’” Kisner said. “So he’s home today, and I’m sure we’ll catch up this week. I’m sure I’ll jet down there and have a party with him pretty soon.”
