Ryan Fox and Min Woo Lee One Step Closer to Full PGA Tour Membership

Min Woo Lee and Ryan Fox, two of the hottest players on the DP World Tour, have officially earned Special Temporary Membership on the PGA Tour for their play as of late.
Lee, 24, is from Perth, Australia, and became a fan favorite at this year’s Players Championship where he finished T6 and played in the final pairing. A T18 at the PGA Championship at Oak Hill gave Lee the adequate points to earn Special Temporary Membership. Lee’s sister is Minjee Lee, the reigning U.S. Women’s Open champion and fifth-ranked female golfer in the world.
Fox, 36, is a native of Auckland, New Zealand, and his best finish on the PGA Tour this season came at the Arnold Palmer Invitational where he posted a T14. Fox’s T23 finish at Oak Hill also helped him pass the points threshold for Special Temporary Membership.
Now, both Fox and Lee will have the opportunity to get unlimited sponsor exemptions for the remainder of the 2023 PGA Tour season, to help them gain enough points to become full members.
According to the PGA Tour, to become fully exempt members, both Fox and Lee must “earn as many or more points as No. 125 in the final 2022-23 FedExCup Playoffs and Eligibility Points List, which will run through the FedExCup Fall.
“Fox currently has 212 points, and for reference, that would fall between Nos. 123 and 124 in the current standings, while Lee’s total of 190 would be between Nos. 129 and 130.”
This week at the Charles Schwab Challenge, both Fox and Lee are teeing it up, hoping to get one step closer to full PGA Tour status. Lee is playing alongside Michael Block, the 46-year-old club pro who finished tied for 15th at the PGA and made a hole in one while doing so.
