Viktor Hovland Makes Insane Ace At Arnold Palmer Invitational

The rough is thick and the greens are slippery at Bay Hill, but Viktor Hovland didn’t have to deal with any of that after his perfect tee shot on the 7th hole during Round 2 of the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
With the pin tucked behind a bunker on the right side of the putting surface, the 25-year-old Norwegian launched an iron directly at the target on the 183-yard par-3. Hovland’s ball took one hop before it seamlessly trickled into the hole, sending the Orlando crowd into a sea of applause.
Hovland’s hole-in-one was his fourth ace on the PGA Tour in his young career.
The Oklahoma State product now leads on the Tour for the most hole-in-ones since the beginning of the 2021–22 season with three. His last ace came during the fourth round of the 2022 BMW Championship.

Hovland, who moved into red numbers on the day with the ace, could not stop smiling as he received high-fives and hugs from his playing partners, Will Zalatoris and Jason Day, and his caddie, Shay Knight.
Hovland’s hole in one helped him reach 3-under for the tournament, which puts him at a tie for 14th place heading into the weekend at Bay Hill.
