Fore! Things

1. Keegan Bradley’s victory at the Travelers Championship set a scoring record for the tournament of 257, 23 under par.

2. It is the second time in his career that Bradley has won twice in the same season. The first was in his rookie year in 2011 when he won the Byron Nelson and the PGA Championship.

3. Bradley also became the sixth multiple-winner on the PGA Tour this season along with Jon Rahm (four), Scottie Scheffler (two), Max Homa (two), Tony Finau (two) and Wyndham Clark (two).

4. Scheffler, who tied for fourth, has now not been worse than a tie for 12th going back 17 events on the PGA Tour schedule.

Four! More Things

1. This week’s Rocket Mortgage Classic has eight of the top 30 in the Official World Golf Rankings, including defending champion Tony Finau, Max Homa, Justin Thomas, Collin Morikawa, Sungjae Im, Tom Kim, Hideki Matsuyama and Keegan Bradley.

2. The LIV Golf League resumes its schedule for the first time since Harold Varner won last month outside of Washington, D.C. and it will be the first event since the announced alliance between the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia, which funds LIV Golf.

3. LIV Golf put out a midseason update on its standings and player positions this week and gave information as to how players will be protected for 2024—which suggests LIV is planning accordingly for next year. LIV said that players who finish in the top 24 of the standings are secure for next year; while those outside of the top 24 face a potential trade or release from their team—even if they have a contract. Only the 14 team captains (one team has three co-captains) are exempt from possible relegation, which can occur to any player finishing 45th or worse, barring injury. Those players would automatically be able to participate in a Promotion event that is basically a qualifying tournament to bring new players into the league next year.

4. The first round of the British Open at Royal Liverpool is 24 days away.
