Cleveland Browns quarterback Brian Hoyer has invited LeBron James to jump on the team's bandwagon now that The King is back in town.

The Browns are 3-2 and riding high after defeating the rival Pittsburgh Steelers for just the fifth time this millennium, but James is remaining loyal to the Dallas Cowboys, who are 5-1 with a win over the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.

Hoyer told The Associated Press that he understood why James did not follow his local team, but is optimistic he can win him over.

"He's a year older than me, the Browns left when he was a kid, too," said Hoyer, referring to the Browns' move to Baltimore in 1995. "You have to cheer for someone."

"Hopefully," Hoyer said with a smile, "we can bring him around to it."

James attended a Browns' practice this summer, and has been seen wearing some Browns' gear, although most of it bears the name of Johnny Manziel, Hoyer's backup and James' close pal.
