Los Angeles Dodgers' Yasiel Puig will participate in the Home Run Derby

Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig will participate in next week's Home Run Derby, according to Bill Plunkett of the Orange County Register

Troy Tulowitzki of the Rockies and Jose Bautista of the Blue Jays are the captains for this year's derby. Mike Trout and Miguel Cabrerahave already said they will not participate. 

Puig will join the Marlins' Giancarlo Stanton, who has already agreed to participate

Nelson Cruz, who leads the majors in home runs with 28, has said he does not plan to participate.

The 2014 Home Run Derby will take place at Target Field, home of the Minnesota Twins and site of all All-Star Game activities this year, on July 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
