Report: Tigers in ongoing discussions for Rangers reliever Joakim Soria

The Detroit Tigers are having ongoing discussions with the Texas Rangers about reliever Joakim Soria, reports FOX Sports' Jon Morosi.

The Tigers currently use Joe Nathan in the closer role. Nathan has 19 saves, but is tied for second in the American League with five blown saves. 

Soria is 1-3 with a 2.67 ERA in 30.1 innings this season. He has 16 saves in 17 opportunities for the Rangers, who start the second half of the season with the worst record in baseball.
