Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig left a spring training game against the Anaheim Angels in the fifth inning Thursday after colliding with teammate Howie Kendrick.

He was only taken out of the game for precautionary reasons, Dodgers broadcaster Alanna Rizzo reported, because he was hit in the neck and throat area.

Kendrick and Puig were chasing after a fly ball when Puig's head made contact with Kendrick's left elbow.
