Angels designated hitter Albert Pujols moved into sole possession of 11th place on MLB’s alltime home run list with his 574th roundtripper on Saturday.

Pujols stepped to the plate against rookie Oakland A’s Dillon Overton with two outs and the bases empty in the fifth and cranked a 1–1 pitch deep into leftfield. According to Statcast, it traveled 424 feet.

Killebrew marks the third player Pujols has passed this season; the slugger has also jumped Reggie Jackson (563) and Rafael Palmeiro (569) on the list.

Pujols, 36, now needs nine home runs to tie Mark McGwire for 10th alltime with 583. With one more home run, he will become the first player to hit at least 15 home runs in his first 16 seasons.

The Angels fell to the Athletics, 7–3.
